As of 5/5/2020, we are now BAST PRODUCTIONS LLC. The Great State of New York has approved our incorporation as a Limited Liability Company. We have been building our team. Our vision of provided a method for us to be able bring novice writers to print is coming another step closer to reality. We thank everyone for their continued support.
This is a difficult time for the whole world. Staying at home has made me consider expanding the scope of BAST PRODUCTIONS from just photography but to all the Multimedia Services that I do. This will include Web Development, Graphic Design, and Desktop Publishing. Currently I am working on a new book: The Second Life Dictionary. I will be incorporating as an LLC shortly. I have put together a team of four and we are using the new Microsoft 365 Business and Teams remote collaboration tools. Finally Microsoft got their stuff together with these tools. Thank you to Kimmy, Arlene and Elly for jumping on board!

Happy with two pieces of gear that have made an instant impact on improving my photography.
The Gray Card gives me a great reference for the white balance of a shoot. Just use the eye dropper thingy in Lightroom to get your neutral reference and the temperature is set perfectly! and the Light Meter gives me the precise numbers to dial into the ol' D7100 for a good start to set for a great exposure.
Today I filed the business certificate DOING BUSINESS AS "Bast Productions" with the Kings County Clerks Office. This is the next in many steps to legitimize myself and to be able to accept paying customers.
I am starting to move towards learning portraiture. I have always been capturing moments or events with available light. I have not worked with controlling my environment or model before. This is new territory for me. I look forward to the challenges and new inspiration.

What reignited my interest in multimedia production you ask? Well, funny you should ask. For the last eight years I have been shooting with a Nikon D70 DSLR camera. This holiday season, with the help of a certain wolf I was able to gift myself an upgrade to the Nikon D7100.
Along with the resurgent interest in photography has come my becoming enamored with Adobe Lightroom. What an amazing product!
